Mr. Nurul Alom, concerned with uncertainties about health and life thought it would be a great idea to enroll in a health and life protection plan like M-Daktar. The decision was proved to be a right one, when he suddenly fell sick due to lower back pain. He was admitted at Feni Sadar Hospital and had to stay there for 11 days. After being discharged, he claimed for hospital cash by calling 21216 and submitted application along with his NID and hospital discharge letter electronically. Within 3 days of submitting the documents, he received his 10 days’ hospital cash claim worth 10000 taka in his Bkash account.

He thinks that anyone can fall sick at any point of time and the 24X7 tele-doctor consultation and prescription through SMS can serve the purpose of primary care for patients. Moreover, in serious events the insurance support is a great assistance. Mr. Alom requests all of his friends and relatives and every Robi user to register for this service.


“আমাদের দেশের প্রেক্ষিতে এই সার্ভিসটি খুবই উপযোগী, বিশেষ করে অসুস্থতার সময়। আমি মনে করি M-ডাক্তার উদ্যোগটি খুব ভাল এবং যদি ঠিকমত ভবিষ্যতে এটি চালিয়ে নেওয়া হয়, তাহলে দেশের সাধারণ মানুষ এর দ্বারা অনেক উপকৃত হবে। ”

Being a businessman, Mr. Shahjahan remains quite busy throughout the day. He did not pay much attention to insurance facilities though being registered to M-Daktar since September. Everything was going well until November 2016, when he was diagnosed with some pancreatic problem and was hospitalized for 6 days at Islami Bank Hospital. After being released from the hospital, he recalled the hospital cash insurance benefit of M-Daktar, and then just to test the credibility of the promises made by the M-Daktar sales agents, he called 21216 and got to know about how to submit the hospital cash claim request. Due to his busy schedule, he could not manage to submit the documents until January 2017 in a paperless way without even visiting any office. He was elated to receive a prompt response from M-Daktar insurance claim management team and within a few days of submitting the documents, he received his 5000-taka hospital cash.

He thinks that credibility and promptness of service will be the key to M-Daktar’s success in the future. He suggests his friends, family, and others to call 21216 from their Robi number and become a subscriber of M-Daktar like him. He believes that Robi M-Daktar can contribute a lot in the overall healthcare system of Bangladesh.

Mr. Ismail, father of seven was enjoying his life in his late fifties. Things worsened when an occasional minor lower abdominal pain was diagnosed as hernia problem which needed to get operated. Concerned about the costs, he hesitated at first but then he remembered the hospital cash benefit of M-Daktar. He got operated at Chittagong Medical Collage Hospital and had to stay in the hospital for 16 days. After being discharged, he called 21216 and with the proper guidance of a claim support officer, submitted all the documents. After 10 days he visited Robi Agrabad office and received a 15000 taka cheque for his hospital stay (covered for 15 days).
